2024 model · About these estimates

These curves are rough estimates from 2024 cohort summary statistics, not published individual score conversions. The input is your SCSA standardised combined score, not a school or raw exam mark. Scaling changes each year. These are Year 12 results, not predictions for Year 11.

Syllabus updates and paper advice

Current · 2026

Relativity dot point removed

Relative motion, relative length and time, plus listed equations, were omitted in February 2026 before the first redesigned syllabus exam.

Practice · older papers

Use older exams by topic only

Pre-2026 papers follow the old unit structure and lack Section 3's data-analysis emphasis. Use the current sample exam for full-paper practice.

Ahead

Minor clarifications for 2027

The 2027 syllabus clarifies relativity examples, induction formulas and particle-accelerator energy relationships.

Common questions

How is the final WACE course mark calculated?

The final combined course mark weights the moderated school assessment and external SCSA examination equally: 50% each.

Does WACE Physics scale up or down?

Physics typically scales up, but this isn’t guaranteed in future years.

How should I use older WACE papers?

Pre-2026 papers follow the old unit structure and lack Section 3's data-analysis emphasis. Use the current sample exam for full-paper practice.
