Calculation method and limitations
We estimate scaled scores between the raw and scaled percentile points in
QTAC’s 2025 report. Outside those points we use the same bounded curves as
the scaling explorer. These are approximate estimates, not QTAC’s full
scaling functions.
Your five highest estimated scaled scores form your tertiary entrance
aggregate (TEA), out of 500. English does not have to be in your best
five, but you must achieve a C or higher in an eligible English subject.
This total does not confirm ATAR eligibility.
QTAC’s report does not publish an aggregate-to-ATAR table. We pass your
original scores to its ATAR Navigator, which calculates its own estimate.
Its scaling and data year may differ from this page.
This version covers 41 General subjects. Applied subjects,
VET, extensions and Senior External Examination results are not included. Use
your final subject result, including school assessments and the external exam,
rather than an exam mark alone. Scaling changes each year.
